Fruta Saudável Project trains farmers and improves the quality of fruits in the Espírito Santo State

Created to promote the adequacy of the fruits that supply Trop’s plants to global market requirements, the project Fruta Saudável encompasses the cultivation of guava, mango, passion fruit, pineapple and papaya. For this, it restricts the use of agricultural pesticides and stops the advance of microorganisms in plantations.

This project currently involves over 5 thousand fruit farmers. Rural producers receive practical lessons on how to produce fruits in strict conformity with the international market requirements. In addition, Trop transfers technology to field workers and guarantees the quality as from seedlings.

Benefits are much deeper than receiving healthier fruits, free of physical and chemical risks, at the Trop plant and contemplate the whole community. Farmers improve their technique, other companies involved in the fruit chain are supplied with better quality fruits and soil is protected, as it receives less pesticides.
