As a proof of its commitment with the municipality of Linhares and the State of Espírito Santo, Trop Brasil acts to benefit its employees, fruit farmers and the neighboring community. It is the company’s commitment to foster the region’s development.

Fruit farmers

GrowersBy entering into partnerships with cooperatives, the company benefits the Complexo Agroindustrial of the Espírito Santo State and many families living out of the fruit culture. “Ever since we started working with Trop and are assured to sell 70%, the number of cooperative members increased rapidly from 30 to 270”, says Valmir Torres Scandiam, Finance and Administration Officer of the Cooperativa dos Fruticultores de Jaguaré.

In addition to guaranteeing the purchase of part of the cooperatives’ production, Trop buys the fruits at a fair value, preventing fruit farmers from being at the mercy of traders. “This allows us to fix a sales price to other clients that is competitive in relation to the market and advantageous to producers”, emphasizes Fábio Fiorot, Sales Officer of the Cooperativa de Jaguaré.

Working in partnership, Trop ensures both the quality of fruits and the economic development and income distribution of the region.

Concerned with the quality of life of its employees, Trop frequently promotes actions that encourage a healthy lifestyle, such as:

Solidarity is part of Trop’s culture. Accordingly, the company encourages its employees to take part in actions that aid the construction of a more just world, such as food and clothing donation campaigns.

Hiring policy

Hiring policyTrop prefers to hire people living near the plant. In addition, since August 2010, the company is engaged in a resocialization program and hires people who have been imprisoned. The goal is to reintegrate them to society.

IT courses

IT coursesDelivered to the neighborhood children. Trop hires the company that gives the classes (teachers) and the didactic material. The room is offered by the association of dwellers.

Seedlings planting

Seedlings plantingActivity conducted in partnership with Linhares’ schools. Trop gives the seedlings so that children are in contact with nature and learn more about the importance of environment.

As I live in the neighborhood, I can say that the benefits that the company grants to the neighborhood are immense. The planting of seedlings with the neighborhood children is one of them, but there are others, such as the job generation, the aid for community feasts and the direct contact with the association of dwellers.”
